Appearance and language

Customize how TellDone looks and what languages it uses.

The two-language model​

TellDone has two independent language settings - this is important to understand:

  1. Interface language - the language of buttons, menus, and navigation. Choose from English, Spanish, or Russian.
  2. Transcription language - the language AI uses to process your voice and generate content. Supports 60+ languages.

These work independently. For example, you can use an English interface while TellDone generates Russian reports and note summaries - if you speak Russian in your recordings.

tip

The transcription language is the single most important setting in TellDone. Choose the language you speak most often for the best accuracy.

Changing your interface language​

Your interface language follows your device language setting. To change it:

  1. Go to your device's Settings > TellDone > Language (iOS)
  2. Or change your device language

Changing your transcription language​

  1. Open TellDone Settings
  2. Tap Transcription language
  3. Search or scroll through 60+ available languages
  4. Select your primary language

The Auto option sets the transcription language to match your interface language.

Themes​

TellDone offers 12 color themes with both light and dark mode support:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the Appearance section
  3. Choose your preferred theme
  4. Toggle between light and dark mode
