Notifications

TellDone sends push notifications to keep you on track with tasks and events.

Notification types​

Task reminders​

When you set a reminder on a task, TellDone sends a push notification at the scheduled time.

Event reminders​

Get notified before your events start. You can set multiple reminder times for each event (e.g., 15 minutes before, 1 hour before).

Silent background sync​

When "Show reminder notifications" is turned off, TellDone syncs your Calendar and Reminders in the background without showing visual notifications. This keeps everything up to date silently.

Settings​

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the notification options:
    • Event Notifications - reminders for events extracted from your voice notes
    • Show reminder notifications - toggle visual notifications on or off

Auto-record on launch​

A special option in Settings:

  • Auto-Record on Launch - the app starts recording immediately when you open it
  • Useful if you always open TellDone to record

Permissions​

TellDone needs notification permission from your device. If you denied it during setup:

  1. Go to your iPhone's Settings > TellDone > Notifications
  2. Toggle on Allow Notifications
  3. Choose your preferred alert style
