Report issues

Reports are AI-generated summaries of your activity. Here's how to resolve common report problems.

"No report for this period"

This means there's no report available for the date you're looking at. Possible reasons:

  • No activity - you didn't create any recordings or notes during that period, so there was nothing to summarize
  • Plan limitation - reports are only available on certain plans:

Free plan does not include any reports. Upgrade to Basic for daily reports, or to Pro for all report types.

My report is in the wrong language

Reports are generated in your Transcription language setting (the content locale), not your UI language. This is because reports summarize the content of your voice notes, which are in whatever language you speak.

For example, if your app is in English but you speak Russian, your reports will be in Russian.

To change the report language:

  1. Go to Settings and tap Transcription language
  2. Choose the language you want reports to use
  3. Future reports will use the new language

Report section headings (like "Daily Report", "Weekly Report") appear in your app interface language, not your voice language. This is intentional - the headings are part of the app UI. The report narrative (the AI-written summaries) is in your Transcription language setting.

Changing the content language only affects future reports. Reports generated before the change keep their original language.

I'm on Basic but don't see weekly or monthly reports

The Basic plan includes daily reports only. Weekly, monthly, and yearly reports require Pro or Ultra. See Plans and pricing for details.

Report generated but mostly empty

Reports need enough activity to produce meaningful insights. If a report seems thin:

  • Record more voice notes throughout the day
  • Create tasks and events to give the AI more data to analyze
  • Daily reports work best with at least 3-5 recordings per day

Email report not received

If you're not getting report emails:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder - report emails sometimes get filtered
  2. Go to Settings and verify your email address is correct
  3. Make sure email reports are enabled in your settings
  4. Add TellDone's email to your contacts to prevent spam filtering

Weekly report missing

Weekly reports are generated at the start of each week (Monday midnight in your timezone), covering the previous Monday through Sunday.

If it's Monday and you don't see your weekly report:

  • Check that you're on Pro or Ultra plan (weekly reports aren't available on Free or Basic)
  • Verify you had activity during the week - the report needs data to generate
  • Reports generate at midnight, so check later Monday morning if it's very early

Monthly report missing

Monthly reports are generated on the 1st of each month at midnight in your timezone.

If it's the start of a new month and you don't see last month's report:

  • Check that you're on Pro or Ultra plan
  • Verify you had activity during the month
  • Reports generate at midnight, so check later in the day if it's early on the 1st

Report didn't generate

Daily reports generate at midnight in your timezone. If a report didn't show up:

  1. Check Settings and verify your Timezone is set correctly - it should match where you actually are
  2. If your timezone changed (you traveled), the next report may shift by a day while the system re-aligns
  3. Confirm you had activity that day - empty days may not produce a report

Long monthly report loads slowly on web

Monthly reports can be 3,000-5,000 words. The web app loads them progressively, so you may see sections appearing one after another.

  • Wait a few seconds for the full report to render
  • If you're on a slow connection, give it up to 30 seconds
  • Reports are also delivered by email if you have email reports enabled

Report generation limit

TellDone generates reports automatically on schedule. You can also generate reports manually by tapping the Generate button, but manual generations are limited per day.

  • Automatic reports (midnight) are always free and don't count against any limit
  • Manual report generations have a daily limit depending on your plan

If you've hit the manual generation limit, wait for the next automatic generation at midnight, or try again the next day.
