Creating your account

Setting up your TellDone account takes less than a minute.

Sign up​

  1. Open TellDone (or visit app.telldone.app)
  2. Tap Sign up
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Choose a password (at least 8 characters)
  5. Tap Create account
  6. Check your email for a verification link
  7. Tap the link to verify your account
  8. Log in with your credentials

You can also sign up with Apple Sign In or Google Sign-In for a faster setup - just tap the Apple or Google button on the login screen.

Onboarding​

After your first login, TellDone walks you through a quick setup with six screens:

  1. Welcome - introduction to TellDone. Your voice becomes structured notes, tasks, and events - automatically.
  2. How AI works - how notes, tasks, and events are organized, each in its own tab, tagged and prioritized.
  3. Record Anywhere - set up the Control Center widget and Action Button for quick recording from anywhere on your device.
  4. Notifications - allow notifications so TellDone can alert you about tasks, events, and reports.
  5. Transcription language - choose the language you speak most often. This is the most important setting for accuracy.
  6. Ready to go - tap the microphone and try it.

The transcription language determines how accurately TellDone understands your voice. You can always change it later in Settings.

TellDone has two independent language settings: the interface language (buttons, menus) and the transcription language (how AI processes your voice and writes reports). You can use English menus while getting reports in Spanish if you speak Spanish. Learn more in Appearance and language.

First-time hints​

After onboarding, TellDone shows you five spotlight hints as you explore the app:

  1. Microphone button - "Tap to start recording. Tap again to stop."
  2. Text note button - "Type a text note - AI processes it like voice."
  3. Settings gear - "Set your transcription language here - the most important setting."
  4. Filter chips (on Notes, Tasks, Events tabs) - "Filter by type and tags."
  5. Floating record button (on any non-Record tab) - "Record from any tab."

You can dismiss hints one by one or tap Skip all tips to hide them all. To see them again later, go to Settings and tap Replay Tour.

Forgot your password?​

  1. On the login screen, tap Forgot password?
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for a reset link
  4. Follow the link to set a new password

Your account is ready. Time to make your first voice note!
