Meetings
When TellDone hears several speakers in a recording, it splits the transcript by speaker instead of giving you one flat block of text. Record a work meeting, an interview, or a conversation over coffee, and you get a transcript grouped into turns, so you can tell where one voice ends and the next begins.
TellDone tells the voices apart and labels them (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, and so on). It does not match a voice to a person's name, so you may want to note who is who yourself if the recording matters later.
Nothing to switch on
There is no toggle and no separate meeting mode. Record the way you always do, and TellDone checks the audio for multiple voices on its own. If it hears several speakers, the transcript comes back labeled by speaker. If it hears only you, the transcript looks exactly as it always has.
Someone who only chimes in with short acknowledgements - "yeah", "uh-huh", "got it" - does not count as a second speaker. TellDone looks for at least two people who actually contribute to the conversation, so dictating a note with someone else in the room still gives you a normal flat transcript.
Where you see it
Open the note and scroll to the Transcript section on the detail screen. The text is grouped into turns, each one labeled with the speaker it belongs to, so you can follow the conversation from top to bottom. As always, the transcript is read-only.
Everything else about the note works the same way. You still get an AI-generated title, a summary, tags, and any tasks and events TellDone extracts from the discussion - so a meeting recording turns into follow-up items, not just a wall of text.
It works on any recording
Speaker labels are not tied to a note type or to a particular way of recording. The check only looks at whether more than one person really takes part in the audio, so any voice note can come back split by speaker.
Put your iPhone where it can hear everyone and record the meeting end to end. The more of the conversation TellDone hears, the more of it ends up in your transcript, your summary, and your tasks. Keep your plan's recording length limit in mind for long meetings - see Recording voice notes.
